In 1980, he graduated as a percussionist from the State Academy of Art. In 1988 is created NG La Banda group; and since 1992 he has been director of Isaac Delgado band; and in 1995 he creates the group Klimax.

For over 20 years he has been a composer, his works are played by Cuban artists and from overseas. He has participated in musical projects with Chucho Valdés, Herbie Hancock, Tata Güines and Changuito, and  Michel Legrand. Some o this productions he worked as a percussionist, composer and musical producer. He has won several national and international awards, including Cubadisco award in 2004. He has worked as a musician/composer in numerous productions with Gilberto Santa Rosa, El Canario, Ray Sepúlveda, Guaco, Kassu Halonen, Willie Rosario, Cano Estremera and Isidro Infante among others.

With the Klimax group he was representing numerous international festivals of Jazz  and World Music, including the Montreux Jazz Festival, the Festival de Jazz del Mar del Norte, Nice Jazz Festival, Jazz Festival  of Vienne, Pori Jazz Festival, Festival de Blues (Ottawa), La Mar de Músicas (España),  the Cannes  Festival and the Percussion Festival of Havana..

He also promotes national and international percussion along foreigners artists like Dom Famularo, Aldo Mazza, Memo Acevedo, Charlie Cooley y Chuck Silverman.
